red flag warning bay area 9/19/2018

Napa Valley is under a red flag warning until 5 p.m. Thursday.

Increased winds and low daytime humidity were forecast for Wednesday night lasting all day Thursday, according to the National Weather Service. Red flag warnings are issued when an area's weather conditions make it susceptible to wildfires that could quickly spread.

The weather service discourages outdoor burning activities. Sonoma and Marin counties are also under a red flag warning.
