Amy "Georgina" Wheeler passed away quietly at home on Feb. 4 with her family at her side. Amy was 88 years old and was preceded in death, six years ago by her husband of 63 years, Elmer "Bud" Wheeler.
Amy was born in 1926 in Taft, California moving to American Canyon in 1958 with her husband and four children. Amy was the local school bus driver and was often referred to as "Hot Wheels Wheeler." She worked for the school district for more than 30 years having driven many who still live in American Canyon today.
Amy enjoyed many things in her life including: cross stitch, sewing, needlepoint, reading, cards, camping, farming, and family. Amy is survived by her children and their spouses: Edward Wheeler (Trudy, deceased), Linda Skipper (Ron), and Kathy Wheeler (Ron Risner); four grandchildren: Rachael Heatherly (Damon Caputi), Amy Lanoue (Dave), Brian Skipper (Brittney), and William Smith (Rose); eight great grandchildren: Samantha and Tucker Lanoue, Carlos Eyler, Josh, Cody, and Brandon Smith, Leiah Monroe and Elijah Brickwood; and three great-great grandchildren Bryce, Ariana and Sierra Monroe.

Services will be held at Napa Valley Memorial Park on Napa-Vallejo Highway, Sunday, Feb.15 at 1 p.m.
