Piret Neemekuru Menchen, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2017 in Roseville, CA at the age of 80. A former resident of Yountville, Piret was
born in Tartu, Estonia. She immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island in 1948 and was educated in New York State. In 1955, she married her 1st husband John F. Rainger, and they raised 3 children: Lori, John and Teri. They resided in New York, Massachusetts, Alaska and New Mexico. Piret then settled in California and married her next husband Robert (Bob) S. Menchen in 1984. He preceded her in death after 30 years of marriage in 2014.
Piret was a homemaker and an artist who won numerous awards for her oil paintings and crafts. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and loved to dance and write stories.
As requested, no formal services are planned. She will be laid to rest in the California foothills with cherished soil brought back from Estonia. She is at long last reunited with her parents, Erika
and Karl and husband Bob.
She is survived by her children, daughters Lori Fennell (Martin), Teri Demmon (Leon) and son John R. Rainger (Madeline). She also leaves her precious grandchildren Kevin (Jessica), Caitlin, Austin,
Paula (Jason), John David and 4 great-grandchildren; Grayson, Sebastian, Chloe and Liam.

Piret will be missed and remembered, and she will live forever in our hearts.
