Firefighters responded at 12:23 a.m. Saturday to a report of a car fire in the 1700 block of Pueblo Avenue, according to the Napa Fire Department. A passer-by reported the fire.
Firefighters found the inside of the parked black Honda Civic smoldering. The car was locked, said Capt. Jeff Taylor. Firefighters broke the driver’s side window to enter the car and unlock the doors. It took 20 minutes for the smoke to completely clear, Taylor said. The fire went out on its own.

The outside of the car was intact, he said. The owner of the car could not be reached, so firefighters left behind a note explaining what they had done, Taylor explained.
