The late Duane Cronk, who died this week, was a well-known figure far beyond his Angwin home high in the eastern hills. He was a founding member of the Land Trust of Napa County and was active in the lively land use battles in the area, particularly through the group Save Rural Angwin. He was publisher of the Angwin Reporter newsletter and an active local journalist. He was also a familiar name in the pages of the St. Helena Star and Napa Valley Register, contributing many letters and photographs of weather and geography Upvalley. Here's a collection of some of the images Duane has sent us in recent years years.
