An intoxicated driver hit and injured a bicyclist in Napa on Friday night, Napa police say.

The bicyclist was treated for road rash-like scrapes on the body and was treated by medical personnel on the scene, according to the Napa Police Department. The victim was not transported to the hospital.

Erika Christine Gomez, 43, hit the bicyclist in the 1500 block of Fourth Street near downtown Napa, police say. She showed signs of intoxication, performed poorly on field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample at the jail, police say.

Gomez was arrested just before 7 p.m. on suspicion of two felonies related to driving under the influence and injuring someone, jail records show. She was placed on $100,000 bail and released on Friday around 9 p.m.
