Three drivers were arrested and 14 were cited during a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint on Memorial Day, according to Napa Police.

Three drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during the checkpoint on the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue between 6 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said that 14 drivers were cited for being unlicensed or driving with an expired license, 16 drivers were evaluated for alcohol or drug use, and 579 vehicles were screened.

There were an additional five DUI arrests over the holiday weekend.

The next saturation patrol is planned for the Fourth of July holiday.
