Police: Drivers cited for having marijuana during Napa DUI patrol

Three people were issued citations for having marijuana on them while driving in Napa on Friday night during a special police operation targeting people driving under the influence, according to Napa Police.

Three drivers were cited or arrested for driving without a valid license during the operation, which was conducted 6 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday at Third and Coombs Streets. Nine drivers were evaluated for drug and alcohol use, police said. A total of 291 vehicles were screened.

The next DUI Saturation Patrol will be Dec. 31.
