Police: Hit-and-run driver arrested after night out in Napa

A 24-year-old Napa woman was arrested after the car allegedly crashing into four parked cars and a power pole while driving home drunk early New Year’s Day, according to Napa Police.

Dispatchers received an automatic alert that a BMW SUV had been involved in a wreck in the area of Riverside Drive and Brown Street before 4 a.m. Sunday. When officers went to check it out, it looked like a vehicle had hit four parked cars and a power pole.

The vehicle’s license plate and bumper were found in front in the area where an irrigation backflow pipe had been sheared off.

Police said that the registered owner of the suspect vehicle, Klarissa Towey, displayed signs of intoxication when she was located at home on the 300 block of Cross Street.

Towey was arrested and booked at Napa County jail on suspicion of misdemeanor hit-and-run and driving under the influence.
