Four juveniles were arrested after leading police on a high-speed vehicle chase through south Napa on Tuesday afternoon, according to Napa Police.

The pursuit began in the area of Freeway Drive and Imola Avenue after officers with the Special Enforcement Unit recognized the four males in the vehicle as juveniles on probation. As officers followed the vehicle, it sped up, continuing onto southbound Highway 29, police said.

The driver of the vehicle continued to speed, weave through traffic and, at one point, police said, lost control of the vehicle and drove off the roadway into a ditch near Golden Gate Drive.

The juveniles ran from the car and to a nearby fence, police said. Officers chased the juveniles, who complied with commands and were taken into custody without incident.
