A 24-year-old Napa man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving following his involvement with a wreck at Third Street and California Boulevard early Friday morning, according to Napa Police.

Officers arrived to the scene of the two-vehicle traffic collision at 12:20 a.m. to find one of the drivers, German Sandoval, showing signs of intoxication, Sgt. Nick Dalessi said. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, he said.

Sandoval refused to participate in field sobriety tests, but registered as having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent – more than twice the legal limit – on a preliminary screening device, Dalessi said.

Sandoval was arrested and booked at the Napa County jail on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injury.
