A Vallejo man faces multiple gun-related allegations following his arrest Saturday night in American Canyon, according to police.

Shortly before 9:36 p.m., officers stopped a pickup truck in the parking lot of Wal-Mart on 7011 Main St. after learning its license plate belonged to a different vehicle, according to Sgt. Jeff Matlock.

Searching the pickup in preparation for towing it, police found an unregistered, fully automatic MAC-10 pistol inside the vehicle, containing an extended magazine with 20 .45-caliber rounds, Matlock said.

The occupant, 39-year-old Latywan White, was detained and booked into the Napa County jail on suspicion of possession of a loaded firearm not by its registered owner, as well as possessing a concealed firearm in a vehicle and having an illegal large-capacity magazine.
