A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary Wednesday morning after police received reports of a man walking around Rohlffs Manor in west Napa with a knife, trying to get into buildings.
Ryan Thurow, who was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance, entered a shed on the property, according to Napa Police Sgt. Scott Holliday. Thurow was last seen on foot in the area of Sutherland Drive before police encountered him at the north end of Sutherland Park, Holliday said.
When officers asked him to stop, Thurow continued to walk away and was hit with two bean bag rounds before finally obeying commands, Holliday said. Thurow threw the knife on the ground and was taken into custody.
Thurow was treated at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. He was later booked at the Napa County jail on suspicion of burglary, resisting a peace officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance and violating probation.
