Napa Police reported more than a dozen driver citations and a drunken-driving arrest at a checkpoint the department set up from Saturday night into early Sunday morning.
Officers stopped vehicles in the 400 block of Soscol Avenue between 6 p.m. and 2 a.m., Sgt. Kristofer Jenny said in a statement. Fourteen people received citations for driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, and police detained one motorist on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Jenny.
The checkpoint was supported by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety, using funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
