The media (particularly the broadcast media) is absolutely and thoroughly biased with be capital "B," and in all my years I haven't seen the extent of such bias displayed.
It's depressing that lack of journalistic honesty is so low. They report the "outtakes" of such comments like "a crying baby", but refuse to report anything else that was of substance in the speech, that is dishonest and deliberately slanting of the news.
What bothers me more is the lack of intelligence of the general public who can't figure it out that the media are biased and swallows their view hook, line and sinker.
Take the Khan case. Here is a man and his family who are legitimately hurting over the death of their son. He is used by the Democratic National Committee to publicly, in the context of a political convention, denounce Trump clearly for the political benefit of that DNC's candidate. Trump understandably recognizes this for what it is -- a deliberate attack aimed at him -- and responds, in context, politically to the attack.
What do the media do? They frame it as a personal attack on a Blue Star Family! That's dishonest! If Mr. Khan, had called a personal press conference completely independent of a political party's event and made the statement he made from the DNC podium, then you might conclude that if Trump choose to respond, then and only then it would be personal, not political.
You have free articles remaining.
Because of what happened at the Democratic National Convention, it became POLITICAL! and the rules of political engagements, says "all is fair in love and war" and the DNC declared through Mr. Khan, political war, but the media called it a personal attack which was NOT TRUE!
You see if the media respected the general public, they would report the facts, but instead they tend to indoctrinate. Have I made my point?
