So, there are more illegal immigrants (12,000) in Napa County than the total population of Calistoga and St. Helena combined. Oh, my.

That is amazing and an eye-opener to anyone who cares about this important issue. This shows how far we have slipped into an abyss-of-apathy.

Instead of being outraged by the “Central Issue” that our laws are being broken, we are concerned about how these illegals feel. Just like the other downstream distractions on this topic; schooling, health care, housing, driver license, voting, wages, DREAMers, etc.

We should either: A. enforce the law B. change the law. Pretty simple.

As an aside, I just returned from another country. I had thoughts of perhaps living there. Had I chosen to stay and live there illegally, I would have to cope with the concern of one day being “caught” and the resulting consequence. I guess that's fear but that's the choice I would have made, just like the 12,000 living here.
