Speak out against helipad

Here we go again!

When I was observing the Board of Supervisors’ meetings several years ago, residents near a winery in the Calistoga hills were there to complain about the proposed helicopter pad for a winery. The helicopter operator said their helicopters were quieter (than what?).

Now we have another gentlemen who wants to have a helicopter pad in his backyard, very near to the city of Napa. Isn’t that what the Napa airport is for? It seems that it’s the case that the richies get what they want regardless of what the neighbors want.

Contributors to candidates must register the amounts with the Registrar of Voters and were published in the Napa Valley Register. Thousands were given to some of the supervisorial candidates--won’t this issue be eventually be decided by the supervisors?

Maybe the contributions this man has made to the election campaigns of the supervisors carry more weight than the wishes of the poor electorate.

Please voice your opinion to Dana Ayers, Planner III, by calling 253-4388 or email dana.ayers@countyofnapa.org by this Friday, July 15.
