The Democrats of Napa Valley Club announced its endorsement of the candidates and key measures, that received the required 67 percent of the members’ votes, at the Monday, April 16 Endorsement Meeting.
Candidates spoke to a packed house at the Napa County Library on Monday, such as Pat Harris for U.S. Senate and Ruben K. Major for Secretary of State. Also, campaign directors/managers spoke on behalf of their candidates: Eleni Kounalakis for Lt. Governor; Malia Cohen for Board of Equalization, District 2; Cecilia Aguiar-Curry for State Assembly, District 4.
There was a lively and informational exchange with speakers on several important Measures as well: Napa County Measures C and D, and Regional Measure 3.
The Democrats of Napa Valley Club strives to provide opportunities to meet and learn about candidates as well as a forum and information on Initiatives. It was heartening to see so many of our members and engaged citizens take time out of their busy lives to learn how they can help make Napa County, California, and the country better.
The following candidates and measures received a minimum of 67 percent of the Democrats of Napa Valley Club Members’ votes, which is the threshold needed for the Club to make an endorsement:
Mike Thompson, U.S. Representative, District 5; Eleni Kounalakis, Lt. Governor, Betty Yee, Controller; Fiona Ma, Treasurer; Malia Cohen, Board of Equalization, District 2; Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, Assembly Member, District 4; Brad Wagenknecht, Board of Supervisors, District 1; Diane Dillon, Board of Supervisors, District 3; Measure D; Regional Measure 3; Proposition 68.
The Democrats of Napa Valley Club will proudly mobilize our members to elect our endorsed candidates and pass our endorsed measures.
