Have we lost the ability to think of others?

For over three years, I've lived near Queen of the Valley Hospital and helicopters come and go day and night. I always hear them but accept the noise as I'm aware they carry someone needing medical care.

The idea of helicopter pads for private individual use is unthinkable. Have people become so entitled they forget we all live together in this valley? Helicopters are noisy and can be frightening to both people and animals. Have we lost the ability to think of others?
