These heroes need to be recognized. The Napa Valley Horseman’s Association on Foster Road – members whose homes were in areas that were on notice of being evacuated – spent tireless hours using their horse trailers to evacuate many big animals from dangerous locations, bringing them to the safe location of the Horseman’s Association site.
Volunteers fed and mingled with these animals, strangers to each other, to make sure none harmed each other. Still other members and volunteers cooked and fed these association members and volunteers. True heroes in the Napa Valley.
