I would like to call District 5’s attention to a congressional candidate I had the pleasure of meeting recently.
His name is Jason Kishineff, and his motto ”Fighting for Justice” is apt.
I found him to be bright, inquisitive and all in for improving the lot of “common good” for all Americans.
His platform speaks to social, earth and economic justice. If this sounds familiar, it is because he is in the footsteps of a certain Vermont senator named Bernie Sanders, whose organization has endorsed him (Our Revolution).
I very much doubt you’d find him voting with the Republicans and Corporate Democrats for more war money and the Mexican Wall and kicking out resident immigrants and harming the health of the planet
He’s all about the environment, and sees the logic of creating jobs in the quest to clean up this beautiful land around us, especially its lakes and rivers.
He wishes to stop the Orcem cement factory as well as the Rodeo refinery expansion.
I highly recommend you give him a look on his website www.kishineff.org.
It would be a welcome change to have such a one representing this diverse area.
He is running as a Green Party candidate, and as insurmountable as a third-party run may seem, these are extraordinarily difficult times for the middle class and the poor, as well as the Earth.
Maybe a new approach is the ticket, rather than more of the same...
