Thanks for your service

  • Updated

Public service is a rewarding job. And it is often a thankless one. As a public servant, you’re navigating competing interests, sometimes politics, but always remembering who you serve: your community.

For four years, Napa County allowed me the honor of serving as the public information officer. In that role, I observed compassion, thoughtfulness, fiscal responsibility, and hope for the future.

I watched staff with finite resources tirelessly work together to support the vulnerable and strengthen Napa County’s voice statewide and nationally.

Staff did so for no other reason than to improve the quality of life for the community. While headlines and social media posts share only snapshots of the story, I saw you give of yourself every day and exemplify true leadership.

I’m proud to have worked alongside you, and thankful there are people in this world who do the work you do.

Thank you for your service.

Kristi (Jourdan) Blasky, Former Napa County employee and Leadership Napa Valley board member
