The 2018 CIF State Basketball Championships are Friday and Saturday at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, with six games on Friday and six more on Saturday.

Games begin at 10 a.m. each day. Twenty-four teams will play for 12 state titles.

The schedule for Friday’s games:

10 a.m., Division IV girls – Rolling Hills Prep vs. Priory.

12 p.m., Division IV boys – View Park vs. Stuart Hall.

2 p.m., Division III girls – Sunny Hills vs. West Campus.

4 p.m., Division II boys – Crossroads vs. Alameda.

6 p.m., Division I girls – Serra vs. Sacred Heart Cathedral.

8 p.m., Division I boys – Chino Hills vs. Las Lomas.

The schedule for Saturday’s games:

10 a.m., Division V girls – Sierra Pacific vs. Lowell.

12 p.m., Division V boys – Santa Clarita Christian vs. Argonaut.

2 p.m., Division II girls – Redondo Union vs. Pleasant Valley.

4 p.m., Division III boys – Notre Dame vs. Pleasant Valley.

6 p.m., Open Division girls – Windward vs. Pinewood.

8 p.m., Open Division boys – Sierra Canyon vs. Sheldon.

Tickets are available from TicketMaster or at the Golden 1 Center Box Office. Ticket prices per day start at $16 for adults and are $10 for seniors, children and high school students with a valid ASB card, the state CIF said.

Ryan Imhoff, a senior guard-forward for the Carroll College (Helena, Montana) men’s basketball team, was named to the Small College Basketball Bevo Francis Award Top-25 Watch List, it was announced on Sunday.

Imhoff, Napa High School graduate, was named as the Frontier Conference Player of the Year.

He averaged 19.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.71 assists and 2.44 steals per game.

He scored 1,953 points during his four-year career at Carroll.

The Watch List consists of players who play in NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, United States Collegiate Athletic Association and National Christian College Athletic Association.


Mark Castellucci of Napa is batting .290 for the University of Montevallo.

Castellucci, a Justin-Siena graduate, has seven RBIs.

The University of Montevallo is an NCAA-Division II school in Alabama, and plays in the Gulf South Conference.

Castellucci played baseball at Justin-Siena, Diablo Valley College-Pleasant Hill and Mission College-Santa Clara. He was selected first-team All-Marin County Athletic League and first-team All-Napa County at Justin-Siena.
