Juan, I'm sure you went through hell while in Iraq. What was your army MOS? What is your rate in the navy? I know our corpsman saved countless soldiers and marines. Many of us have lost family and friends in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are trying to deal it. But I know of too many soldiers, sailors and airmen who never set foot outside or the wire and claim PTSD because they've lost a comrade to an IED, sniper or in battle. Did you have to pickup the gray matter of your roommate? The loss of life affects all of us, but I can't claim PTSD or shell shock if I wasn't directly involved. Thank you for your service.
Juan if you have the opportunity, you should investigate The Pathway Home in Yountville. Pathway is a residential treatment program for OIF/OEF veterans whose lives are impacted by PTS, TBI or other combat-related stress. Its website is www.thepathwayhome.org.
By far the best local program ...The Pathway Home in Yountville...
