The Calistoga High football team lost an 8-7 heartbreaker host South Fork on Friday night in Miranda.

The Wildcats led 7-2 at halftime, after quarterback Alejandro Sanchez connected with Jonathan Quinones for a touchdown pass and Calistoga’s first points of the season.

The Cubs, however, scored a touchdown in the second half to prevail.

Calistoga (0-2), which has lost as many games as it dropped all last season, will visit John Swett in Crockett next Friday night.
