Doors open at 5 p.m. and the first fight is set for 6 p.m.

Bay Area Combat will hold two title belt fights. In one main event, Vallejo’s Anthony Beal faces Gilroy’s Freddy Rodriguez for the 155-pound lightweight title belt. Both fighters will come in with 2-3 records. Beal trains at Rapacon’s Martial Arts, a gym owned by an American Canyon family.

The co-main event will feature Danville’s Joseph Kropschot against Huntington Beach’s Noah Christie in the 185-pound middleweight division. Kropschot is 4-0 and ranked No. 2 in California, while Christie is 3-0 and ranked 14th in the state.

Building up to the main events will be 13 matches featuring fighters from MMA gyms throughout Northern California.

Three of those fighters are from Napa Valley MMA – Diego Lopez, who is 3-2 and ranked 14th in California, and Jeff Hermann and Mark Vargas, who will be making their fighting debuts.

Two others train at Napa’s Main Street Martial Arts, Jorge Carrasco (0-1) and Eugenio Garcia, who will make his fighting debut.

“We have scheduled action-packed fights from the premier top athletes in Northern California,” said promoter Steve Barnett, who plans to have two more shows at the fairgrounds this year. “It is a show you don’t want to miss.”

The event is sanctioned by the California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Organization. It is sponsored in part by the U.S. Army, Suncoast Awning and Ride-On-Motorcycles, which will also be sponsoring the Multiple Sclerosis “Fight for Cure,” a nonprofit.
