Following is round-up of upcoming holiday events at Napa Valley wineries:

Robert Mondavi Winery Tree Lighting

Robert Mondavi Winery hosts its holiday party on Saturday, Dec. 2, 3-5 p.m. It includes horse-and-buggy rides through the To Kalon Vineyard, a tree lighting ceremony, and a holiday sing-along with the Vintage High School Chamber Singers, along with wine tasting, hot apple cider, Italian cookies, and cheese and charcuterie appetizers.

The celebration is complimentary for wine club members, children under 12 and those who bring a canned food donation for the Salvation Army. All other guests can join the celebration for $25 per person.

Rutherford’s Third Annual Holiday Festival

The Rutherford Hall (formerly known as the Rutherford Grange) and the Rutherford Dust Society will hold its Holiday Festival open house from 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3. Santa will arrive by fire truck at 1:30 p.m. and visit with children until 3 p.m.

Attendees will enjoy holiday carols, wines, cheese and charcuterie and holiday crafts for the kids. Proceeds to directly benefit the Rutherford 4-H Club, the Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department and the continued restoration of the Rutherford Hall, 8550 St. Helena Highway.

Tickets are limited and can be purchased online at Children 12 and younger are free. Tickets for ages 13 to 20 years are $10 presale and $15 at the door, and are $20 presale and $25 at the door for 21 and older.

Open house at Inglenook

Inglenook, one of Napa Valley’s oldest wineries founded in 1879, is hosting its free, 11th annual Holiday Open House in its historic chateau on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 3-7 p.m. The Holiday Open House, hosted by the Coppola Family, is a tradition featuring seasonal gifts, holiday wines and other surprises throughout the day. Holiday on the Hill

Rutherford Hill Winery presents “Holiday on the Hill” Sunday, Dec. 10, from noon to 4 p.m. Enjoy this open house featuring wines, festive bites and seasonal sounds across the property and in the holiday-decorated cave. RSVP required.

The trees light up

Every year, Peju Province Winery celebrates the spirit of the holidays by adorning the sycamore trees that line its driveway with red holiday lights. The trees will be lit from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day and can be seen while driving either direction on Highway 29. Details at

St. Helena’s ‘Little Book’

St. Helena welcomes cabernet season with the “Little Book of Big Experiences,” which includes 24 St. Helena experiences, including wine and food pairings, guided tours, meals and lodging specials. It’s valued at more than $1,000 and may be purchased on site at participating venues, at the St. Helena Welcome Center at 657 Main St. in St. Helena, or online at The cost of each book is $100, and offers are valid November through March 2018.

The St. Helena Chamber of Commerce is donating 20 percent of the proceeds from its “Little Book of Big Experiences” sales in November to the Napa Valley Community Foundation.

Winter in the Wineries

Beginning on Saturday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Feb. 4, Calistoga’s annual Winter in the Wineries Passport offers a relaxed way to tour, taste, and meet winemakers at more than a dozen of Calistoga’s wineries, including Chateau Montelena and Castello di Amorosa. Passport holders also receive discounts at lodging, shops and spas and complimentary corkage at select restaurants. Details at
