Caltrans is scheduled to begin major roadway pavement work on Highway 29 between Trancas Street in Napa and Mee Lane in St. Helena beginning Monday, May 21.
The overnight work begins at 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and ends at 6 a.m. the following morning. One-way traffic controls will be in place. Crews will alternate lane closures in both northbound and southbound directions. Motorists should expect delays and allow for extra travel time.
Preliminary drainage work started in March and paving is expected to continue until fall 2018. All work is weather permitting.
No work is scheduled for the following days:
- May 25-28, Memorial Day/BottleRock
- July 2-8, Independence Day
- Aug. 31-Sept. 3, Labor Day
